SCYC members think of Kerr Lake as their home and of fellow members as family. Our photos reflect not only the beauty of Kerr Lake and all it has to offer, but also the fun and camaraderie of our club members at various club events held throughout the year.
It has been a wonderful 2016 and it is hard to believe it will soon be coming to an end. Thanks to the hard work of our Commodore Nathan Maune and Vice Commodore Rich Kamens, there have been a lot of fun events for great socializing.
The year started off with some extremely cold weather with ice in the lake, followed by a bad hail storm causing damage to quite a few boats. The summer started off somewhat mild but then exploded into heat, heat, and more heat, prompting a lot of night swims to cool down. We have experienced lots of gorgeous sunsets, beautiful sunrises, an abundance of bald eagles this year, meteor showers and several sightings of the International Space Station. It makes the work week go by so much easier knowing we have this wonderful place to come to and relax with friends.
There are only a few more months left of 2016 but the fun is not over yet!
Photo Memories 2016 (September - December)
2015 was welcomed in with our 4th annual New Years Eve Celebration. We enjoyed our usual events during 2014 and appreciate all those who volunteered to host and co-host those events and all who helped to set up and take down for the events. Its because of you that we have such a successful club! Lots of memorable times were spent with our SCYC Family in 2014. For those of you new to SCYC, there is always a group who like to get together for a spur of the moment raft up, campfire or potluck get-together, so keep your radios on channel 71 to stay current on where the fun is taking place or if you are the socializing type, you can always start the fun
2014 was a great year to look back on with lots of smiles and laughter and we know 2015 will be another one of those years!

Welcome to 2014! The 2013 year ended as many friends got together to enjoy a wonderful evening remembering old times and looking forward to new times. We have added so many new members to the club in the past six months. Everyone is really looking forward to another year of great memories and lasting friendships.
