August 10: The 2cnd Annual Dog Days of Summer was a great success attended by 40 people and 10 dogs. Even though we had some strong winds and rain come through we were able to start right on time. We had some delicious hot dogs cooked up by Dave Rock, and tons of wonderful food brought by club members, including a doggy shaped carrot cake to keep with the theme. We had so very many donations made to the local shelter, which made the hosts Diane Walters, Ann Hamner and Laura Twyman feel so very good! Many door prizes were awarded to both people and doggys. Each doggy received a gift bag full of all kinds of toys and treats, including sailboat shaped dog cookies which looked delicious enough for us humans to eat! We gave a warm welcome to new members Brandon and Sarah and Tom and Cici. It was a very close contest of the Owner/Dog look alike contest between Jessica Connelly with Lilly, and Danielle (girlfriend of Kevin, Eddie and Diane's son) with Adrianna. In the end a very happy Danielle and Adrianna won!
June 22cnd Weekend
Friday evening a group enjoyed Eddies Famous Homemade cookies and cake to celebrate Diane's Bday.
Saturday Doug Miller hosted a "Starting Line" Seminar in the overcast weather. Steve and Laura helped Doug with the start times and video'd each start so everyone could review their progress later in the evening. There were 7 starts with each getting better.
Pretty bad rains began in the afternoon but a group of us rafted up together enjoyed being out on the water in it anyway. Later that evening 12 of us enjoyed homemade cupcakes and great times on Parrotise in celebration of Keir's 50th Birthday.

Governors Cup June 17th
Quite a few boats went out to enjoy the Governors Cup Races and then rafter up for Fathers Day Cupcakes provided by Helen and Dave Rock on Rockreation. After a few hours of swimming and laughing several boats headed to Jaw Beach to watch one of the most gorgeous sunsets in awhile, have some nice margaritas and a big bonfire with an 8 ft flame..With the discussions on the radio it sounded like there was a great party on the dock as well.

June 8th
Included an impromptu potluck (1 of many for the yr) on the dock by Parrotise, an open bar provided by Jeff in front of Odyssey, a gorgeous sunset, wildlife scenes, and something none of us had seen on the lake before--fishermen spot-lighting for fish, which was quite an interesting sight and was pretty nice to see the lights reflected on the dock, water and trees.
