We hope you all had a wonderful July 4th and
weekend.
The weather for the entire weekend was awesome.
Great breeze and low temps with warmer water temps.
Thursday there were several boats that went out for a
sail while others anchored up to do some bottom cleaning. The wind seemed to pick up as the afternoon went on and made for a great afternoon of relaxing and having fun in the water with friends. A small raft up started and with the great breeze it seemed like no one really wanted to leave. I know I did not want to go but had to go home to work on Friday.
Saturday was the Satterwhite fireworks celebration. A special thanks goes to Jeff for being the anchor boat for the club raft up. He picked a great area for the best view of the fireworks. Boats started to fill in as the afternoon went on. We ended up with 10 boats on the raft up and at least 5 other members (that we could see) anchored close by. The afternoon was spent in the water having a great time with all. Thanks to Rhonda and Keir's new paddle board that was converted into a swim up bar that was enjoyed by all and a few of us even tried it out as a paddle board. After dinner people started to settle in to watch the fireworks. It was a nice display and looking out over the water there were hundreds and hundreds of boat also watching. After the fireworks the night was still young and many people moved from boat to boat to enjoy good laughs and boat drinks.
The breeze filled in all night. The conversations started Sunday morning with coffee on the bow of the boats and talk about how wonderful the sleep was with the cool breeze all night long. Thanks again to all to came out to enjoy the weekend with friends and family.
