Hello Everyone,
Mark and I are still in Annapolis enjoying the boat show. We will be returning tomorrow. Saw several members of our club up at the boat show, and heard that several others had come by too. Stayed to see the boat show break down. I took some video that I will post later. Met 2 couples at the break down viewing that live in Chapel Hill and keep their boats in Annapolis and they were thrilled to hear about our sailing on Kerr Lake and want to check it out. For everyone, Martha has posted a notice that Water will be turned off on October 24th for the season. Please keep that in mind. is weekend is the Hot Dog Race and dinner. Ron Honeycutt has sent out a notice to everyone about the race. This is a fun race so do not feel intimidated. We will have a Captain’s meeting at 10:30 AM on Saturday. The race will begin at between 11:30 –Noon. Ron has asked for help to set up the course. Please respond. Also, I would like to hold a Fall boat Renaming Ceremony at 5 PM, prior to our Hot Dog Dinner. We have so many new boats it would be great. M&M, Unplugged, Namaste, several Catalina 25’s, Godspeed, Catalina 34, On a Lark, Sandy Cheeks. If you are interested in the ceremony, please bring 2 bottles of Champagne to share (and part to pour over the bow). For dinner, the club will provide the hot dogs and buns and condiments (paper plates and plastic ware). Need everyone to bring either an appetizer, side dish or dessert. Please let me know if you will be there, what you are bringing. Let me know if you will be participating in renaming ceremony. It should be a great weekend both weather and activity wise. See you on the water.
